Homing-Pigeon is your callout to others when you might not be able to do such on your own, in the future.
Let’s admit this topic isn’t a pleasant one, but it is a necessary one.
When your senses tell you that you might be going into an unsafe situation / place, Homing-Pigeon is there to notify others of your whereabouts on your behalf.
For example, you’re meeting someone for the first time from an online dating service. You don’t want to seem skeptical, or “paranoid”, yet you know that if things were to go awry, you want others to know where you were / are. Homing-Pigeon will send your longitude and latitude to the one person you know will come looking for you. A personalized message explaining your situation will accompany your geolocations to your loved one. All under your control.
You can do this with a few simple settings, and that loved one will only be notified of your location if a designated amount of time has lapsed. Of course, you can turn Homing-Pigeon off when your realize that your insecurities were not warranted, so no message will go out.
Example..
You meet someone for a first time at a coffee shop from your online dating site. Prior to going into the coffee shop you enter the following into Homing-Pigeon….
My Full Name……Jane Doe
Time Delay…...2 Hours…..This is the amount of time you believe is reasonable to spend in this place with this person.
Message Destination….1-234-567-8901…..This is your Mother’s email or Text
Passcode….123abc…...This is the secret password to turn Homing-Pigeon off. Without this being re-entered your message will go out to your Mother.
Message….Mom, I met “Harry” off of Craigslist down at the Starbucks. If you are receiving this message, I have been abducted. Please notify the police immediately and give them my longitude and latitude of my last know place.
